AUTHOR CONFERENCES

Updated: Jan 29

As I sit here writing this, I am in Las Vegas at the 20BooksVegas author conference. There are well over 1000 authors in attendance and I'm having a great time. I've met so many authors and vendors that I'm going to have to sort through them all once I get back home. Many have come from all over the United States and the world. I just had to drive a few hours over from California. So it was an easy jaunt for me.

There are individual sessions on pretty much anything you can imagine. Need help with your Amazon Ads? There is a session for that. Want to know how to make your novel un-put-downable? Also a session for that. Facebook ads, legal matters, audiobooks, starting a publishing company, translations, covers, maximizing profits, I could go on and on... If you want to know something about the book publishing world, this is the place to be.

And I haven't even mentioned all of the individual meetups. I attended one on the first day for editors and authors. I met some great people looking for an editor. That's one of the things I excel at. There are meetups, which are basically just meet and greets, for most all of the genres out there. This is where you find your tribe.

Believe me when I tell you that you must come to Las Vegas next year and join all of these wonderful people. You don't know what you don't know until you get here and find out.

If you aren't part of their Facebook group, join for more info. Even if you can't make it to Las Vegas, a few weeks after the conference, they post most of the sessions on YouTube for anyone who would like to watch them. None of us can get to every session. So those YouTube videos will get a lot of play time.
